I recently decided to build an above ground pool deck for our back yard. It seemed like a good idea at the time, because we have two children and I wanted to be able to watch them when they were in the pool to make sure they were OK. Solid above-ground pool covers are covers that they make out of several layers of vinyl all bonded together. These are great if you want to keep leaves and other garbage out of your pool. And since installing such a cover blocks sunlight altogether, you can keep water from evaporating and you can make it inhospitable for algae. Pool chemicals stay active for longer when they aren't exposed to sunlight as well. Solid above-ground pool covers are great idea because they do all this and they tend to be quite durable.
